Date: Bank Holiday Monday, 7th June 2010

Time: Race starts at 9am, in Patricks Street, Cork City

Road closures will commence from 4am on Monday 7th June. Diversion routes will be in operation throughout the city and the 26.2 mile course will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the race with a 6 hour time limit. Please avoid the city centre if at all possible.

St Patrick’s Street is closed to traffic for the day. Other roads on the course are reopened as the race passes through each area.

Motorists are urged to use the North and South Ring Roads, which will give access to most parts of the city and suburbs. St Patrick’s Street, and all access streets to it, will be reopened after 17.00hrs. Traffic bypassing the city should use the North and South Link Roads.

It will be possible to drive into the city centre, but please allow extra time for your journey . Contra-flows will operate in the Jack Lynch Tunnel and on the South City Link.

Park and Ride: The Park and Ride service at the Black Ash, from the Kinsale Road into the city centre, will operate from 7.30am to 7pm. The service costs €5 for the day. Buses to Lapp’s Quay, in the city centre, will leave at 15 minute intervals. Lapp’s Quay is opposite the City Hall, from where shuttle buses to the outlining Relay Change-over Points will leave. We urge participants and spectators to use this facility and leave your car outside the city centre for the day.

City Bus Service

Some of the city’s regular bus services will be disrupted for the duration of the race and will operate on a shuttle service. See Bus Eireann for further details.
